The VibroDrill from terra infrastructure is an innovative vibratory drilling rig for special civil engineering. Unlike traditional hydraulic drifters, it does not rely on impact energy, but rather on high-frequency vibrations that locally liquefy the ground, thereby significantly accelerating drilling progress. The VibroDrill has now been officially registered as a trademark.
Safija Ostermann, Head of Communications, describes the move as a milestone for terra infrastructure: “With the official registration of the VibroDrill trademark, we have laid the foundations for an independent brand identity for a product that combines expertise from two technical fields and stands for innovation in special civil engineering technology.”

A distinctive feature of the VibroDrill is the combination of drilling and vibration technology. During drilling, conventional hydraulic drifters use impact energy to break up rock, but the VibroDrill utilises vibration to achieve a reduction in drilling resistance. Depending on ground conditions, this can lead to significantly shorter drilling times. For projects in sensitive areas, such as residential areas, the significantly lower noise levels offer an additional advantage.
