Following its first-ever participation at OstBau, held from 18 to 20 June in Bernau, Brandenburg, terra infrastructure GmbH has given a generally positive assessment of the event. The trade fair for construction and the building trades, which took place for the fourth time this year, provided the company with a platform to showcase itself as a provider of comprehensive solutions for civil engineering.
In the outdoor exhibition area, terra infrastructure presented selected products from the fields of Machinery, Trench Shoring and anchor technology, and used the event primarily to engage in face-to-face discussions with users from the construction industry. Among the exhibits at the stand was a MÜLLER MS-6 side-grip excavator-mounted vibratory hammer. Unlike conventional vibratory hammers, which have to be placed on top of the profile, the MS-6 grips the component from the side. This makes it particularly suitable for work where headroom is limited, on narrow construction sites, and on inner-city sites with limited space. Also on display was an MS-4 from the HFB S series with a fixed eccentric moment. This is a standard vibratory hammer with a standard clamping device mounted on a hydr. excavator.
Aluminium shoring boxes were also exhibited. They offer particular advantages for small and medium-sized sewer and pipeline construction projects: thanks to their low weight, they are easy to transport and install, whilst at the same time ensuring the necessary safety when working in excavation pits. The exhibition stand was supplemented by a model of a sliding rail solution, which can be flexibly adapted to different excavation pit geometries and supports economical shoring concepts in inner-city civil engineering projects.
All in a single operation
In the field of Steel Section and Anchor Equipment, terra infrastructure presented the Ischebeck Titan anchor and micropile system, which is suitable for a wide range of applications. Using the self-drilling anchors, drilling, flushing and grouting can be carried out in a single operation, even in difficult ground conditions.
During the entire exhibition, experts were on hand to answer enquiries. Discussions focused not only on individual products but primarily on consultation regarding holistic solutions for a wide variety of civil engineering requirements.
OstBau is primarily attended by construction companies and users of the technology. Accordingly, terra infrastructure used the exhibition mainly to nurture existing customer relationships and to forge new contacts. Felix Marticke, Field Sales Representative for Germany at terra infrastructure, gives a positive summary: “We held numerous interesting discussions with both long-standing customers and potential new clients. Whilst visitor numbers could have been higher, the quality of the discussions and the interest in the solutions presented were satisfactory.”
For terra infrastructure, this first appearance at OstBau was therefore a successful step towards further expanding its market presence in the region.
