A mobile construction road is used when the natural ground is too soft, sensitive, or unpaved for construction machinery or vehicles—for example, at muddy ground, sand, lawns, or sensitive surfaces. It ensures that construction equipment and trucks can drive safely without sinking or damaging the ground. Typical locations are construction sites without paved access roads, landscape conservation areas, or temporary events. Mobile construction roads protect the ground, increase safety, and can be quickly assembled and dismantled. This makes construction sites and access routes easily passable even under difficult conditions.
Yes, assembly is simple and does not require any special tools or laying vehicles. The panels can be laid using standard construction machinery such as excavators or wheel loaders. However, a forklift truck with a minimum fork length of 1.60 m is recommended for transport and handling on site in order to absorb the panels safely and efficiently.
The panels are connected using a robust metal connector with a long hole. This long hole allows a certain measure of movement to compensate for thermal expansion or shrinkage of the panels during temperature fluctuations.
For assembly, you will need:
- a pneumatic screwdriver with a 24 mm socket,
- a crowbar for aligning the panels,
- a mallet.
The necessary sling gear is included in the delivery extent.
We recommend that installation and removal be carried out by at least two people.
Important:
The panels must not be laid on impact to avoid tension and material damage – the metal connectors with slotted holes provide the necessary flexibility in the composite system.
With prepared ground and mechanical assistance (e.g. mini excavator or panel tongs), two people can lay approx. 90 panels per day.
Optimal results are achieved with straight laying, load-bearing ground, generous access routes and favorable weather conditions.
A GRK 3 geotextile is not always essential, but is recommended at soft, damp or sensitive ground. It provides stability, prevents the panels from sinking and protects the subsoil. It is not usually necessary on ground with sufficient bearing capacity, but can increase the service life of the site road.
Yes – there is a special execution with two different surfaces. The side marked “Steeltrack” is intended for driving on with steel-tracked vehicles.
Important: Turning on the spot or strong lateral shearing is not permitted, as this can lead to damage.

Our mobile site road is 3 m wide and thus offers sufficient space for excavators and trucks. If this width is not sufficient for special requirements or particularly large vehicles, the panels can also be laid as a double track without any problems. This allows the access width to be flexibly adapted and wider lanes to be created – ideal for individual construction site situations and safe crossings.
Whether a site road requires a permit depends on where it is located:
If it is laid on public land (e.g., road, sidewalk, public green space), an additional permit from the responsible authority is usually required - even if the construction site itself has already been approved.
On private property, no separate permit is usually required unless special conditions apply (e.g., nature conservation).
