Essen, June 18, 2025 – As part of the statewide “Schutzschleife” (protective loop) campaign launched in 2017 by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior, the police and business community are sending a strong signal in support of the protection and appreciation of emergency services personnel. The protective loop symbolizes solidarity, respect, and gratitude toward the people who ensure safety and order on a daily basis – especially the police, fire department, and emergency services.
To mark this campaign, representatives of the police and Sascha Drechsel, managing director of the Hessenmetall employers' association, visited the terra infrastructure GmbH company site in Alsfeld. Together, they presented the protective ribbon to Stefanie Littau, the company's managing director – a visible sign of solidarity and recognition.
“With the protective ribbon, we want to send a clear signal: our society stands behind the emergency services,” emphasizes Mr. Drechsel from Hessenmetall. The police also emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening social cohesion and promoting mutual respect.
Stefanie Littau, Managing Director of terra infrastructure GmbH: "As a company, we stand behind this important campaign and our emergency and rescue services. Our slogan, ‘safety: efficient and sustainable,’ reflects the high priority we place on safety. With our products and services, we create safety for our customers on sites. The police, fire department, and emergency services in Germany ensure safety within our society—the values of the campaign are entirely in line with the values we stand for as a company. We would like to express our appreciation to those who work for our society every day."
Holger Braun, Chief Superintendent of the East Hesse Police Headquarters and Acting Head of the Alsfeld Police Station, emphasizes: "Those who wear the protective ribbon show their solidarity with all the women and men who stand up for society every day with their work and often with their lives. We – and I speak on behalf of my colleagues at the East Hesse Police – are grateful for the support and the respect and appreciation this shows us."
Following the symbolic handover of the protective ribbons, the guests were given an exclusive tour of the production and development areas of the Alsfeld site by site managers Nicolai Freidhof and Alexander Wagner, where the internationally renowned MÜLLER machines in the field of vibration technology and drilling technique products are manufactured. This gave them an insight into the innovative technologies and the company's commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability.
The “protective loop” campaign impressively demonstrates how joint action by industry and security authorities can send a strong signal for social cohesion.
