FLOOD PROTECTION FOR THE YUYAO COMMUNITY IN CHINA.

The Five-Year Plan 2016 to 2020 of the Chinese People's Assembly provides, among other things, for improving the quality of life of the citizens. This also concerns flood protection. On this basis, the Yuyao River in the municipality of Yuyao was equipped with mobile flood protection along a length of about 4,700 metres.

A particular challenge was the very short delivery time. In addition, the customer was inexperienced and needed not only technical expertise but also concepts for storage as well as training for the employees. In addition, parts of the production were to take place in China. We commissioned several Chinese and German companies with the production of the approx. 5,000 stop logs and the approx. 1,500 anchor plates. The delivery from Germany was not made by ship, but by rail. The total delivery and production time was about three months.

In addition to the foundation, we also implemented proposals for the storage concept. We also organised on-site training: once for the construction companies to install the system; the other for the team that sets up the flood protection when there is a risk of flooding.
